I received a nice email from artist, Tracy Helgeson, telling me that she enjoyed my blog and also asking me to check out her art. I did and found her work to be visually interesting with beautiful color, shapes and space. It is definitely worth the effort to click through the paintings on her website and blog. Tracy writes on her website "My work is process driven. I love the texture of the surfaces that paint on, the color of the under painting, the softness of a brush, the smell of the paint, medium and solvent and the excitement of laying down each layer of color. I truly enjoy every step, from preparing the panel to applying the final glaze."
